Montunos

Montunos are a rhythmic way of playing chords. The montuno pattern works by breaking the chord voicing into two parts; an outer part, and an enclosed part. The two parts then alternate to various rhythms. The outer part is usually an octave, and the inner part is voiced within this octave (between the bottom and top note), playing the remaining chordal notes, usually a 3rd apart from each other.
